About the artwork
As I gaze upon my woodcut block artwork titled “Subsistence,” I am drawn into a world where my father, a diligent farmer, labors in the sun-drenched field. The lines blur, merging form and shape seamlessly, mirroring the interconnectedness of man and nature. The absence of bold strokes allows textures to emerge the roughness of soil, the resilience etched into every furrow. I feel the rhythm of life, the repetition that births sustenance. In this piece, I honor the enduring spirit of farmers, their toil a symphony of existence.
