Female Hands As: A poetry reading by Saranya S
Join us for a literary dialogue with Saviya Lopes’ exhibition 'You, Me and Them', as we explore everything a woman’s hands hold. We read poems by female and female-identifying poets, trans poets, artists, and writers across generations, languages, cities, castes, and faiths. These poems gather a chorus of voices, all reflecting on hands that touch, create, destroy, heal, desire, simply exist.
Featuring works by Mahasweta Devi, Vijayarajandika, Kamala Das, Neeraja, Malika Amar Shaikh, Eunice de Souza, and more. Join us as we sit with Saviya’s works, fragile flesh, remembered body, through poetry, words, and community.
Hosted by Saranya Subramanian, The Bombay Poetry Crawl.
