Sunil Abhiman Awachar (b. 1978) is a contemporary Ambedkarite poet, painter, writer, and social activist. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marathi at the University of Mumbai. Inspired by anti-caste struggles, he brings focus to marginalized, oppressed, and Dalit movements through his art and literature. His rebellious and realistic poetry portrays the suffering of ordinary people crushed under globalization and capitalism. He edited a book on the Dalit Panthers movement in 2022. His poetry collections include Global Vartamanachya Kavita, Mee Mahasattecha Darashi Katora Gheun Ubha Rahnar Nahi, Kalokhavarachi Toladhad, We the Rejected People of India, Bravo!
