I seek simplicity & minimalism in every aspect of my life including my work.
When I set out to create my Boat series in 2017, I was obsessed with being faithful to the forms of fishing boats I saw lined up on the beaches of Pondicherry. I would scour the studio (still do), for similar forms/ moulds that would help me in my pursuit of this form. Since then my obsession for the form has eased up sufficiently to allow a sense of abstractness.
This series is a continuation of the journey that set sail eight years ago, the forms and surfaces have evolved and so have I as an artist.
