Three questions at once

This exhibition presents the questions that recur and intersect between artists Poonam Jain and Yogesh Barve, who have known each other for over a decade. It brings focus to rules and institutions that govern behaviour and show the possibilities of art interrupting established patterns.

Jain’s works make place for the histories of print and the medium’s utilisation for everyday notation, documentation, and control, while Barve’s works use mechanical and digital interventions to examine the role of the artist in transgressing hierarchies fixed through social convention.

In Three questions at once, both Jain and Barve explore the political potential of abstraction.
