The silkscreen is a collage of multiple drawings, each conceived out of the artist’s dreams. On the journey to unlock the secrets to his subconscious mind, Sajid’s dreams are a crucial piece of the puzzle and often indicate repressed wishes and desires that go unfulfilled. While each individual character in the collage represents a single dream, the ensemble begins to represent the larger landscape of his subconscious, his desires, his fears and everything in-between. The dark hue of the blue aims to capture that fleeting sense of calm and balance amongst the menagerie of feelings experienced when we dream.
